Well it came out a bit later than usual and it has caused some controversy but the iPhone 4S is out. Well it's out but not exactly available straight away. It seems apples UK online store is showing availability of 1-2 weeks not as bad as when the iPad 2 came out, had to wait 3-4 weeks hours after it was made available online the only way of getting one on the day was to queue outside a store and hope the model you wanted was available!
You can always check with the mobile networks to see when they will get stock, O2 have setup a webpage here that allows you to register for updates for when it becomes available.
Personally I don't think the iPhone 4S is that huge of a jump from the iPhone 4 but then was it really meant to be? I mean it's faster (with dual core juiciness), has a better camera (8MP compared to 5MP) and off course there is SIRI. This was more or less what was expected from the next iteration of the iPhone 4. I'm quite interested in the capabilities of SIRI it seems to be able to understand voice commands on a level never seen before from voice recognition software (that I know of) but is it really that big a deal? I don't think so but then again are specs really the point to i-products? I don't think they really are its more about the experience (and Apple making loads of money!).
